DragStrip Brushes Troubleshooting Guide

Q: The brush color is showing up lighter than the chosen color swatch.
A: You need to work in CMYK, then convert to RGB.

When you create a brush the base artwork you use to create it has to be black. We created these brushes using the default black in CMYK mode. When you convert that to RGB, the RGB black is not the same as CMYK black, so it will appear lighter when you use these brushes in RGB mode.

We recommend building in CMYK mode and then converting a copy of your file to RGB. This way, you have a file you can use for offset printing (CMYK), and one you can use to create an onscreen graphic (RGB).
